When you visit Delhi, you will be able to get stunned with the Mughal architecture. Qutub Minar is a 73 m tower which is built as a symbol of victory after defeating the last Delhi Hindu Kingdom. This tall tower has five storeys where each one has a elevated balcony. While the first three storeys are made with the red sand stone and the fourth and fifth one is made of marble and sand stone. At the foot of the tower, you can witness the first mosque which is built here. If you have a dream which you want to fulfill for sure, then you must try to encircle your hand around the 7mhigh iron pillar which is located here. There are thousands of visitors who are expected every month to this place. Even though there are several confusions behind the origin of this tower, all these years, it has been the attraction for thousands of tourists.
One can witness the different architecture styles of Aibak to Tughlak in this single place. It is said that the base of the Qutab Minar is constructed after destroying hundreds of temples during that period. Even after different ruins, Qutub Minar has stood so strong and has been considered as the finest monuments in India. They have started building this monument in 1200 AD by Qutab-ud-din Aibak. This emperor could only finish the basement and later it is Iltutmush, who have completed the next three storeys. While the fourth and fifth are constructed by Firoz Shah Tughlak. Make your time to visit this great place.
Qutub Minar is open every day all throughout the year from morning 6.30am to 6.30PM. As this is in Delhi which is very hot in the summer, it is advised to skip travelling in those sunny months.
