History of Parliament House
The parliament house was a part of the Rashtrapati Bhawan. In 1919 according to the alteration of Montague-Chelmsford, it was announced to be intended as the Indian parliament. The Duke of Connaught laid the rock of foundation in 1921 and Lord and Lady Irwin inaugurated the structure in 1927. It was formerly known as the Circular house and Herbert Baker deliberated it.
