After the freedom of India, Indira Gandhi was the first lady who became the prime minister of India. The brave lady was the daughter of Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (he was the first Prime Minister of India). It is said that on 31st Oct 1984, Wednesday, Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her personal bodyguards. The Memorial is situated in New Delhi area and pays an honor to the remembrance of a Great lady.
This historic place was previously the house of Indira Gandhi Considered as an important part of
Delhi sightseeing tour, the
Indira Gandhi museum, you will get the amazing vision into the Indian liberation effort. The Memorial, New Delhi shows the Saree which she wore during the gunning down. There is a transparent commemorative inscription at the Memorial which has stored the brown marks of Indira Gandhi's blood.
The Memorial contains a library and living room which are well managed and preserved just as she used to keep them. You can see these rooms through the windows from the orchard which is not open for public visit. There is a set of pictures as well at this Museum explaining us more about Indira Gandhi's life, beginning from her childhood memories to the time as an Indian prime minister.
